Don't worry about it. And yes, there is a way to give it back. Hmmm...that reminds me of two things... I need to put up a Karma Tutorial and a forum help board. So, actually, thanks!

I'll make a tutorial for Salty. It warms my heart to do a little good in the world...even if it is just a Karma tutorial... What is Karma?Karma are basically things that stand out in your profile or on your posts that say, "Hey, look at me! People love my posts, and I have some pretty good thoughts and ideas," and people are more apt to listen to what you have to say. So if you had a whole lot of Karma points, people will see your username on the forum somewhere and check out your thread, website, or whatever it may be. Put simply, they listen, and not only that, they look for your name to listen more. Well, lets just say, more Karma, more effect. What does "exalt" mean?In the beginning of my forum days, I thought this was a bad thing, and "smite" was the good one...I was just plain out confused. But it's the other way around. If you think someone has a great idea, made an awesome post, helped you or the forum out in any way, etc., then feel free to exalt them. This helps them along, and what goes around comes around. So if you are an awesome forum member, someone will exalt you too. And just because you don't have much karma doesn't mean you aren't doing well. Because a lot of people may not even bother with the karma points if they aren't too used to them, or they may get them mixed up, or just like pushing buttons without knowing what they are, just like I'm sure almost all of us have done atleast once... What does "smite" mean?If you say something rude, do something to hurt the forum or someone on it, or anything else that just isn't nice, a smite may be coming your way. So basically, just stay nice, and remember, not everyone is a wonderful person, and there may be someone out there continually smiting you, or giving you a smite because you don't give them something they need, like a hex or something. But, there are ways to keep track of exalts and smites and see if someone has it in for you, so don't do it, and if you think this may be happening to you, the admin will take care of it, I'm sure. So, basically, play nice. I just exalted/smited someone and now I can't see the exalt/smite buttons anymore, where did they go? Will they come back?Don't worry. The buttons will come back. I'm not sure how long it takes, but not that long. I'm sure that this is just a way for proboards to keep people from smiting/exalting people continually. The admin is the only one who can add or subtract Karma from an account in bulk, and I think we can all trust Salty... lol. They probably come back after about an hour or thirty minutes. Sorry about the long post and hope this is helpful. If anything is too confusing or not explained well, or you have any other questions I'll be happy to add it on here. Wow...if I write this much for the Karma tool, I wonder what a tutorial on something a little more challenging would look like, lol ;D
