Now, I remember stating somewhere...I believe the rules, that I'm not going to put up a mod application...but I think I need one or maybe two people to help me with the general things around the forum. Below are some of the things you should be able to do. I really noticed today that I needed some help, things were really hectic. Don't get me wrong though, I love all the suggestions, I just need a little help. So, anyway... Some Things You Should be Able to Do . Please be at least 13 years old or older. . Know your way around the boards pretty well. . Move topics when placed in the wrong place. . Keep the peace between members. . Continue to be active, active, active. (As you should at least be somewhat of an active member - at least 20 posts) . Notify me immediately if something is out of your hands. (Like extremely rude members, cheating in showz/contests, suspicion of hacking...etc.) . And other mod duties, like stickying topics and locking if need be. - A staff board is going to be added soon. That staff board will be where all the staff of Salty can chat and talk about any problems they may have. Just a note... -Rules for ApplyingPretty much, just read the above. However, just because you are a mod or eventually (maybe) a GMod, does not mean you have the power to not follow the rules yourself. I mean, come on now...who would do that? Also: GMods will be chosen only under the condition that you already are a Mod. You have to prove yourself worthy as a Mod before any drastic actions will be taken. Once a GMod, however, if I were ever to leave, that would be the admin in charge for the time being. There may be at one point a co-admin of Salty, but I'm still thinking about when that will happen. Last note before you apply: If you really want to become a Mod, do not rush me in any way to choose someone. Don't worry, I'll choose when I think its time. If you don't get chosen, that really doesn't mean you are not being considered for when another Mod is needed. So don't get discouraged if you aren't picked right away. ApplicationSo, why do you want to help run Salty? Why do you think you'd be a good Mod?Are you 13 or older?

Chosen as a Mod
Application
So, why do you want to help run Salty? I would love to be able to help out this forum. I've been through a lot of forums but I have to say, in the short space of time I've been here I've become obsessed with it. It has such a unique design and welcoming feel. I also love how the members have such an input in the overall running of the forum and how you've added all these unique features! Why do you think you'd be a good Mod? I think I would be a good mod because: -I really love this forum, it has such a nice atmosphere and I'd like to help maintain that. I've had a lot of experience when it comes to forums in general. -I have a lot of time to spend online and am usually online several times a night. -I've been a mod on a fair few forums before so I know what I'm doing. -I've always been good at following rules and helping people out. -I'm 17 so I'm mature enough to be able to help solve problems without getting involved (if a fight breaks out) or being bias -It's more or less summer so I have a lot of free time to be here helping out... Are you 13 or older? Yep, I'm 17

Chosen as a Global Mod
Application
So, why do you want to help run Salty? I would love to help run Salty, because I love the feeling of accomplishment. Everytime I come on I look right down at how many members we have, to see if any others joined. I have found that I have become quite obsessed with this forum, and the game as well right from the minute I joined this forum. I want to be a mod so I can help Salty from its less than ten members days, all the way up to a thousand members, plus more, and have that gratifying feeling of success.
Why do you think you'd be a good Mod? I believe I would be a good mod because I will do anything from welcoming new members and just being an avid poster, to making tutorials about what I know. Even if I never get to do anything too helpful for the forum, I will always be happy with just patroling the boards, and being kind to the members. I have a creative mind and can come up with great ideas and listen to others, and work with Salty, and the other mods and members to make an idea work. I am willing to spend time on Salty to make it a better place, one modified post at a time.
Are you 13 or older? Yes, I am 14.

Application [glow=red,2,300]So, why do you want to help run Salty?[/glow] Because I love the way you made Salty and all of it's cool features, like the fact that you can customize your colors, or that you can change how much time you want to set to be logged on. I think it's a wonderful forum (and I'm not just sucking up) but I think that this forum has some even better features here than at AAP. I love the theme and the idea and it seems really happy and welcoming here. ;D [glow=red,2,300]Why do you think you'd be a good Mod? [/glow] I'm responsible, don't stink at spelling, I'll get on every day I can, (I couldn't get on ALL last week though because of camp. ) and I really think I'll be a good moderator for Salty. [glow=red,2,300]Are you 13 or older? [/glow] I'm 12 now but I consider myself very mature and intelligent for my age. I've been the computer like a pro and have known how to do HTML since I was 9. (don't really know if that helps... )

So, why do you want to help run Salty? Because although I just joined, Salty is wonderful. This is the best forum I have ever encountered. I absolutely LOVE to mod forums, it is so much fun, and I also love helping people. Salty just seemed to click the second I clicked on the banner, and I would LOVE to help. I love the adoption boards, and I am already active in the forum. I would continue to stay active forever, unless I left, which would hopefully never happen, but if it did, I could notify everyone in advance. Why do you think you'd be a good Mod? I'm normally a very responsible, helpful person. I babysit, for all ages, and I can usually stop developing and occuring fights. Although I may have had some problems on one other forum, I can usually come back up even stronger than before. I feel extremely guilty when I do something bad, therefore, I would always try to fix whatever I did to the best of my ability. I am currently an active member, even with the internet problems I've been having. I love people and kids, and especially, DOGZ and RL Dogs. Being a mod is what I would do best. It is something I would love. Are you 13 or older? Yes.

Like I said, I was going to pick a Mod (or maybe two) and I have. Great apps everyone...really...I'm not just saying that. The new Mod(s) will be PMed very soon. Also: Please remember when applying to become a Mod, following the rules is very important. The reason you must have at least 20 posts is because I like to get a feeling for what kind of poster you are and a teeny bit of your online personality. I have no problem with people under 13 years old applying to become a Mod, just post as an update in your Mod application when you become thirteen and then you will be able to be considered for a Mod. As a note for people still waiting and for new applicants: Anyone may apply to become a Mod, as long as they follow the rules. Every application will be taken into consideration. Applying to become a Mod basically puts you on a waiting list, but its always worth being on the list if you're interested in becoming a Mod because you may just get picked the next time around. So, don't be discouraged.

Application
So, why do you want to help run Salty? I want to help run salty because it is an awesome forum. i was one of the first members, so i have watched it grow from a small little message board to a real, active forum. I have a deep respect for this place, because of how much fun i have while i am here. I would love to help keep it in this working order, so that others can come and enjoy Salty like i have. Why do you think you'd be a good Mod? I would be a good mod because i know this forum inside and out. I will be happy to help anything in anyway that i can, and as previously stated, i respect this forum and want it to be in the best working order it can be. Are you 13 or older? I am. NOTE: If you are not looking for a mod at this time, i understand. I will wait until i am needed!

As a note to you, pebble, and everyone else who applies: Mods are picked when needed, but anyone may apply anytime they want. So, what I am saying is - there is no set time for picking a Mod, it will be at random when I and the other Mods start feeling as though some more help would be necessary.

Chosen as a ModSo, why do you want to help run Salty? Well, I have been a part of the PC for 10 years now and I have seen many Petz sites and forums and Salty definately has one of the most upbeat and exciting members and staff that I have personally encountered. This is a new (well improved anyway) forum and already the member count is booming and new threads are being started left and right! The people here are just great too! I always feel intimidated to join Petz forums because the people that are part of them have been there forever and give the impression that they feel more "powerful" than the new members. I have noticed too that many mods around the PC have forgotten the terms please and thank you and seem to bark out orders or yell at people for posting in inappropriate categories. It's not like that here at Salty and I would love to be a part of a nice, new, fresh staff team to preserve the way it is now. Why do you think you'd be a good Mod? Well for one, I have been an Admin on many forums for games such as The Sims, Zoo Tycoon, and Horseland. I can move topics, lock posts, make "stickys" etc. I also know how to handle sticky situations that occur such as arguments or inappropriate threads and such in a mature manner. I work in customer service as well so I know how to handle arguments between people in a calm and professional way, and in the end make everyone happy (or at least civil). I always love to help new members on how to do various things around the forum too. Not to mention English is my first (and only) language and I can type with proper grammar. Lastly, I'm online every day and will be able to come and do my mod duties without any problems. There might be a day here and there I might not make it on (I work at an animal hospital and the hours can be quite long) but I will for sure be on again the next day (I can't live without my internet ^_^) Are you 13 or older? I'm 20

So, why do you want to help run Salty: I want to help run this forum more smoothly and a bit more neatly, actually. I adore the layout because I have seen it on my friend's site as well but I'm not too sure it totally fits the Petz theme of the site. But enough about the layout, I'd probably like to help run Salty to inforce more spelling/grammar rules because personally, that's a big pet peeve of mine. But you're an awesome admin and I just want to help you out as much as possible. Even if I don't get chosen, I'll probably enforce some spelling rules (I mean, there is spell check for a reason) and still help out around the site. Thanks for considering my application. Why do you think you'd be a good Mod:- I have 3 years of experience in running sites
- I currently co-own a 2+ year horse forum, very active
- I know how to deal with members that are newbies, idiots or are just mean. Like, I know how to help newbies (on RKC, a lot of newbies come to me seeking advice; no lie) and I know how to deal with those idiots and mean members that just spam or post inappropriate images on forum etc.
- I enforce rules easily and am not afraid to PM a person to tell them about, for example, their signature size or advice on how to pose their dogz. They appreciate my help, so I PM them about it freely and am not rude about it.
- I spend over 10 hours on the computer each day, so I have time to check on Salty and make sure everything is in order before skimming over a lot of other forums and running my current one smoothly.
Are you 13 or older: Yes.

So, why do you want to help run Salty? Well, I joined only about 2 or 3 days ago, and I already love this forum and think it will go very far, and when I like something, I usually want to help out. I would really like to help run Salty smoothly because since I joined, I can't find myself off the forum when I'm on the computer xD. I want to help out Salty from fun activities and events, right down to problems and glitches. I also feel that since everyone here is so kind and welcoming, that this forum will go very far, and I want to be a part of the production to make Salty what it will be eventually, which is something fun and great.
Why do you think you'd be a good Mod? Well, I have been a mod before on other forums, so it's not like I don't have any experience. I also do know a lot about petz and showing, so I think I would be quite helpful to others. I do care about what happens to Salty and everyone on it, so I feel that I want to make sure everyone is happy and everything runs smoothly. I am very patient with newbies, so I don't rush them when they are learning something new for the first time, and I try to be as fair as possible when someone breaks rules.
Are you 13 or older? Yes I am.

So, why do you want to help run Salty? I haven't been on here long but I love it all ready. I think all the people here are really nice. This forumis very active and I think that active forums are much better than slow forums. I am a mod on anthor foum witch is brand new and is very slow. It is not much fun being a mod on there because it is so slow. Ever since I joined the PC I have always wanted to be a mod. I also love the way this forum was desingened very neat with the under water theme and it is very easy to find your way around. I think this forum will turn into a very great and popular one. It will need some help to make it that and I want to be one of the people who help it become great. Why do you think you'd be a good Mod? Well, I am a mod on anthor forum and I am an Administrater on anthor forum. I have been in truoble on forums before(I am being totaly hinest with you know) but I think because of that If anyone were ever to get into trouble and I was dealing with I would know where they are coming from and I woauld be able to understand them better than someone who has never gotten into truble before. I am serious going to not get into trouble any more, I have changed. Also I realy want to help make this forum better thanit is. Are you 13 or older? No, I will be honest, I am only 11. But the thing is most of my freinds and the people I meet do not belive that I am only 11, they think I am 13 or 14. I am defentitally mature for my age.

Application So, why do you want to help run Salty? I think it would be a fun experience to be able to help new members and discuss the well being of the board as a whole. Since this board is Semi-new it would be very rewarding to recruit new members and see the progress from week to week. Why do you think you'd be a good Mod? I know I would be a great mod, because I have been playing/showing petz since i was 10. Thats just over 8 years of petz! Maybe longer Also, I know my way around the boards and I feel that I could help keep things in a very neat and orderly fashion. I know most different breed's poses down to the very pixel and I feel that I would be great at spoting cheats/edit and other modifications that are not allows on the forums. Are you 13 or older? I will be 19 this October, yes.
