Well, here's my dogz pose helping guide. I'm going to use my dog Magick as an example. I know his alignment may be off a bit, but hopefully you'll get the general idea.
Now, the dali pose is not as "valued" in the show ring as much as the dane, but, hey, if its what you like...then here ya go.
Notice the feet of Magick. Look at the front feet. Notice that you can barely see the left foot. That's how front, aligned feet should look. Now, take a look at the hind quarters. The paws in the back are almost aligned to perfection, but not quite. See how that left back foot is a little visible? We shouldn't be able to see that as much as we do now. For the most part though, the alignment is pretty good on the legs. Now, look at Magick's face. Take note to his eyes. They aren't wide and scared looking. His eyes are relaxed with a "half closed" expression. The head is also upright, but not strained looking. Magick is facing right at the camera, which is a plus also. Magick's dali pose...well, yes, there is room for improvement, but if you follow that as a basic guide, you should be gaining some points in the showz.
Now, for the more desired pose in the show ring today.
As far as the alignment of Magick's paws in this pose, they're about an A +, but let's gage our attention at his head for a moment. That chin could be raised a little bit more. Otherwise, it's alright. See, although Magick's face is facing to the right, and not looking at the camera, as he would in a dali pose, his one eye still has it's focus on the camera. See how his legs aren't strained upward, looking as though he's gonna break 'em? Well, that's good, because if your dogz is doing that, then that's an overpose. We don't want that...
Problem: Alignment on the feet (front and back) are way off.
Problem: Alignment is off and the eyes are very scared looking.
Problem: Alignment may be alright with the feet and even the head, but unfortunately, Magick is just looking at the camera...he doesn't have that proud looking posture.
Problem: Major overposing...just a little too proud.
