How, using petz workshop, do i make changes to a breed and then save it as an individual petz? One that doesn't need a separate breedfile to open?

Well if you base it off a breed you already have, but keep a copy of the original. You can edit a copy of it for the pet you want, put it into your game, adopt a pet from the adoption centre, then put your original back in. If what you meant is to have a nice pet but not have to make every pet of the breed you adopt the same

I'm not sure if this is what you mean...but I think you just mean you want to hex paint a pet, but not make your own breed file, or a new breed file. And you just want the pet to come easily out of the Adoption Center...right? So, if that's what you want, in PW, you have to collapse all variations. You do that by - "Breed" | | | "Collapse All Variations" Then, once you get a message asking if you're sure, you say "yes". Hope that helps.

Well, what will happen is, all of the colors, fur markings, eye colors...everything but the pet colors and markings you were looking at when you hit that "Collapse All Variations" button will be gone. So, yes, in a way, the original base breed variations will change, so yes, it will be different. But you can always just edit the other variations that are currently there to make them to your liking...or you can even add your own variations.

Usually I collapse all of the variations, but sometimes I just wait for the pet to come out of the AC, depends on if I'm in a patient mood or not. Sometimes I'm forced to not collapse all of the variations because it messes up some breedz of petz. That sucks when that happens. You have to wait forever for the pet to come out so you can adopt it.
