That's exactly what I am, lost and confused...I downloaded the Pet Workshop from Sherlock software, but I can't find out how to take a dog out, well...who am I kidding, I wouldn't know what to do even if I could get the dog out...

I know exactly what you mean. i have the same thing and it took me ages to figure out how to do anything! to take out a breed, go to file, open, and then the dogz or catz folder in the petz five file. select the breed you want, and wait. it should come out soon. once you get it out, play around with the buttons at the top of the window. I found color was easiest to start out with. if u want to save your work, go to file, SAVE AS (not save, or it will ssave your changes to the base breed!) and then type in a breed name and save it in the dogz or the catz folder. it will the ask you to change the ID number of the breed. pick a 4 digit number and write it down so you don't forget and use it for another breed. if the breed doesn't show up in your game, change the ID number by opening your breed and hitting save as again. now that's a looong post... sorry.

Wow, thank you so much ;D . I have no idea how I did it, but I actually got a dog out...I kept thinking I had to go to the adopted petz folder, lol. I went into resource this time and went to dogz, and picked a breed. I always thought you were hexing a dog you already adopted, lol. I still have no idea how to do anything else though...so I'll just ask Salty to make a tutorial for hexing...But thank you so much for helping me to atleast get the dog out ;D .
